The Who – Did You Steal My Money Lyrics 11 years ago
Love the Face Dances album, this song became a favorite for me right away. It's rather fun for a song about getting screwed over. Btw I highly doubt that 'inched it' and 'kitchen' were intended to rhyme! They were not consistent with rhyming here... more often than not they didn't.

Stray Cats – Stray Cat Strut Lyrics 11 years ago
This song reminds me a lot of 'Blank Generation' by Richard Hell... Totally different content but the sound is similar enough that I can't hear that song without thinking of this one. Weird!

Love and Rockets – So Alive Lyrics 12 years ago
This song is HOT... the way he sings is kind of intoxicating! I agree with the other comments, this is about lust, pure & simple.

Norah Jones – Broken Lyrics 15 years ago
All this talk of paint, haha! As shell mentioned, these lyrics aren't correct in a couple of places; 'paint' should be 'pain.'

Martha Wainwright – When the Day Is Short Lyrics 16 years ago
She is brilliant. I usually don't like female singers, they just annoy me, but I practically worship Martha! This is easily one of my favorites of hers.

Fleetwood Mac – Not That Funny Lyrics 16 years ago
@ stoolhardy: I think being alone or waiting on love.

Lindsey cracks me up every time on this one, towards the end where he does that funny voice. heh.

Fleetwood Mac – The Ledge Lyrics 16 years ago
The sound of this song is amazing and it always sucks me in; but I really don't get the 'you can love me baby but you can't walk out' line. *confused*

Cat Stevens – Tea for the Tillerman Lyrics 16 years ago
Ledaeth is right, it's definitely 'sun' (says so in the notes along with the cd). Anyway, gorgeous, gorgeous song and such a perfectly conclusive end to the album. I think the line ''cause while the sinners sin, the children play' sums the song up in terms of meaning. It's a nice way to look at things...

Fleetwood Mac – That's Alright Lyrics 16 years ago
What the HELL. How does this song have no comments?! It has to be one of my all-time favorites and one of Stevie's best too, lyrically and vocally. There's a lot of weariness here and it's really heartbreaking; what used to be reliable and constant in her life is failing her-- her trust in him, her ideas of what love is, etc. and now their relationship is over, she's done with it. Hopefully I'm not the only one who finds this song amazing!
