Yeah, it's possible. He could just be talking to himself for all we know...but he does use "you," so maybe he is talking to his girlfriend? I dunno. This song is awesome, but it seems like it should be longer. I know what you mean. |

I would like to say a number of things. First of all, whoever posted this posted it incorrectly. Instead of "Where you are and where you sat you see, you're making me..." it's supposed to be "Where you are ain't where it's at you see, you're making me..." Just in case anbody wanted to know.
Second of all, I really love this song, and I think Avril is one of the most down to earth artists I've heard in a while. I agree with jdoodles by saying that who cares if she dresses punk but sings pop?! Maybe she frickin likes to dress that way! Also, she dresses like a skater, and she skates so I don't see why she should be discriminated there. And finally, she isn't exactly the greatest guitar player, but she does play some of it for some of the songs. You can't expect everyone out there to be completely purely their own unique person, because the media has prevented us from always being our true selves. Sheesh.

ScarletElite, I am the exact same way! Yeah, this song is the only one I can think of for how Chris got the name Dashboard Confessional.
Whats In a Name, I'm sorry you got stuck with that. I love this guy but he doesn't even seem to realize it no matter how many hints I give him. It's so frustrating. I guess that doesn't really relate to this song, but oh well. |

Oh crap, now I feel stupid. I thought he was saying "pig smack" and not "big smack." Does anybody else have that problem? I think "pig smack" sounds better. More diverse or whatever.
