this song is quite clearly about prostitution... avril is about as rock as an OAP eating a flump, but the disillusioned youth continue to eat up all her "i'm so punk" bullshit. as you can probably tell, I am not a fan and think this song is about as good as sex with john major. |

i think this song is never experiencing love before, but when he sees this girl it is love at first sight.
brandon is afraid or reluctant of falling in love, but when he sees this girl he can't help himself and his head and heart battle (hence 'so worth the fight').
but he needs her to show him she feels the same way ('could you show me dear, something i've not seen, something infinatley interesting') because he has never seen love, and needs to before he can let his fear rescue him... fall in love with her.
'your movements echo that i have seen the real thing' means he has now seen love and experienced it. 'your biggest fear will be the rescue of you'... shes fallen in love with him. |

I agree with jenster, its about not wanting to start an argument and keeping self control, because if he stops himself from saying what he wants to he knows that it will be better in the end because of the trouble it could cause. I heard that the album was made just after brandon came out of a long term relationship so most of the songs were influenced by that, and each shows a different emotion. |
