lp actually are kinda sell-outs in my opinion. they even have dolls of themselves...think about that. And somehow all the kiddies get on my nerves who never ever listen to rock or metal or whatever but love lp, coz everyone loves them... but whatever, i still like their music as much as i did before, even if i have changed my tastes more to hardcore and 'emo' stuff...lp was the first band besides papa roach and korn who got me into this kind of music. i agree with the ideas of alienation. people in our society are alienated just because they are different, dont fit in the standards set up by the society. so this song could have something to do with the move 'paris is burning' never seen it actually, but if you all say so :) yeah, and i think that song wants to say 'change that', you need to get along with each other or else something bad is gonna happen. the passage 'its gonna rain, and it never ends' could reffer to a new biblical flood (what ever this is called in english...you know the story about noah and so on :)), the revenge of god for this intolerance of our society, the greed, envy and so on. dunno , read a book a few days ago bout that topic, and there was a new flood coming up, it rained for months and god wanted to exterminate everyone for how the humans have developed. could be something like this idea as well. dont know, kinda confusing, i suppose :) whatever, make up you own meanings. no matter what the song actually means, it rawks! peace |

alright, here's my remastered intepretation of "Vampires Will Never Hurt You" ;) : ----------------------------------------------------- vampires=synonym for the society (in reference to anton lavey's satanic bible). He describes a "pychic vampire as follows (as much as i remember...long time ago, that i read it): A psychic vampire is a person who wears a mask and pretends to be somehow, that he is not. He is only nice to you, when he wants something and takes advantage of you. He has no feelings and is as cold as a vampire and he soaks you. why the hell is everyone argueing whether this song is crap or brilliant, DC is a sell-out or not and if this is real emo or not.
