Hollywood Undead – Coming Back Down Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I don't think there's alot I can add that hasn't been said, but I think we can all agree: The best of us are taken back to Heaven far too quickly. |
Nicki Minaj – Super Bass Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Well said. I can't tell the difference. |
Nicki Minaj – Super Bass Lyrics | 12 years ago |
"When he come up in the club he be blazin up Got stacks on get like he savin up And he real, he ill, might got a deal He pop bottles and he got the right kinda build He cold, he dope, he might sell coke He always in the air, but he never fly coach" Really romantic. "Love, rap-style" indeed. |
Taylor Swift – Innocent Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Until the line "32 and still growing up now" line, I thought it could be applied to the many service-members returning from war with PTSD and living with memories of war. Most people I've met who've been there don't want to talk about what happened, but remember all the time. "Did some things you can't speak of, But at night you'll live it all again" |
Christina Perri – A Thousand Years Lyrics | 12 years ago |
My current girlfriend just showed me the music video to this song. When I met her it was so natural, so easy, we had no problems getting close to each other. But when the time came to meet her family, her father and two brothers came out to meet me. I didn't even get to the house. They instantly disliked me because I'm a soldier and they know the sacrifices dating us entails, and don't want her going through it. She said she was at the time afraid of getting this close because her last relationship ended so badly, and the lyrics "but watching you stand alone, all of my doubt suddenly goes away somehow" reminds her of the day, in her words, "I watched you stand alone against 3 dudes who are bigger than you. The look on your face said you would die before you budged." Because I love her. While I may hate Twilight, it's still a beautiful song. |

The Downtown Fiction's cover is much better. |
Sum 41 – Jessica Kill Lyrics | 12 years ago |
To me it seems about a failing relationship but neither person is willing to let go of. |
All That Remains – Not Alone Lyrics | 13 years ago |
In my opinion, I can't see involvement of a deity in this. In my time in the Army, I've put myself through some things that I didn't have any of my own strength left, so I had to draw from my significant other. A picture and the memory of the electricity I felt when she touched me was always the kick in ass I needed when I could have easily quit. I have faith in God, but sometimes, something intangible just won't cut it. It's during those times you need to gather strength from the people who care about you the most. As long as you have that, you're not alone. |
Miley Cyrus – Goodbye Lyrics | 13 years ago |
I'm not a huge fan of her music, probably because I'm not a 14 year girl. But I heard this today and couldn't believe I heard a MC song I liked and could relate to. But I'm sure we all can relate to some point. Not bad. |
Tickle Me Pink – Beside The Others Lyrics | 13 years ago |
I have to agree with Huani. When my fiancée passed it destroyed me, and I kinda keep every woman I've dated at an arm's length. It almost feels like I'm cheating on her. I know I'm not, and I know she'd want me to be happy without her, but still... |
Skillet – Forgiven Lyrics | 13 years ago |
This song takes me back to the day I came back to Jesus after years running to alcohol or drugs for help with life. God is truly great to us. |
Hollywood Undead – Sell Your Soul Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Yes, because violence makes you soooooooooo much better than them. Jesus and Ghandi, take this guy's advice. Do it right next time. |
Dashboard Confessional – Little Bombs Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Every line of this applies to me. Damn you, Chris, for wording this song so eloquently. Someone should be singing this to me. |
Green Day – Holiday Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Ever since I've enlisted, the line "There's a flag wrapped around a score of men" has given me chills. I'm pretty sure it's referring to the fact that when a soldier dies, their coffin is covered with a flag. |
Bowling for Soup – Smoothie King Lyrics | 17 years ago |
"She's my lunatic and I'm her psychopath" I love it. :) |
Dashboard Confessional – Dusk and Summer Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I thought it was about the girl's death myself. I think the line "No one is alone the way you are alone" could be in reference to the way he's feeling when he finds out she's dying. How would you feel in the moments after you found out your lover is dying? "Some things tie a life together, slender threads and things to treasure." I sat back and thought about this for a minute, and had to jerk back more than a few tears. I dumped the first girl I ever loved because I was leaving for the Army in a week, and now I'm back, and I'm still tied to her somehow. I always find myself thinking about her, it still hurts to think about her, and that was a solid 6 months ago. We still talk every now and again, but they're never long conversations. Neither of us can forgive each other for our sins, but neither of us can move on, either. But yeah, back to the song. In the song, I think it means that he's fallen in love with her, and he'll always love her, even after she dies. Those memories of their summertime together are the "slender threads and things to treasure". |
Dashboard Confessional – Shirts And Gloves Lyrics | 19 years ago |
This song matches my life almost to a T. My martial arts classes keep me away from my girlfriend most times, except for Wednesdays and Saturdays, and she lives in the next school district over (not really long distance, I can see her whatever free time I have). When we're not together she'll always call and I'll turn on what she's watching on TV. I got shivers when I first heard this song.... it was creepy. |
Sum 41 – Slipping Away Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Not used to hearing this kinda song from Sum 41, that I can remember. I like it, though. I think they're talking about their individuality, being lost and not knowing why, or having any control over it. |
Our Lady Peace – A Story About A Girl Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I was kinda late to listening to this song. I never had time to finish the album until today. But I must say, awesome song. Gave me chills. OLP rocks. |
The Jealous Sound – Priceless Lyrics | 20 years ago |
does anyone know what he means when he says "i thought this day would never come"? |
Blink-182 – Feeling This Lyrics | 20 years ago |
I can't believe not one comments on this song! This song reminds me so much of my ex. It took me a LONG time to get over her, I heard this song and it helped me to realize that that part of my life is over, but i can still remember her every now and then, both the happiness and the tears |
Sum 41 – Fat Lip Lyrics | 21 years ago |
Some of u people make me sick. So u don't like their music. Ok. So u do like their music. Who cares. Does it really matter? And don't bash Canada(even though America could kick their Maple loving asses) they're people too. |
