Alright ... I saw pinback a week or two ago. Here's what rob crow (my hero) said, "You can take down the government with computers too, you know. That's what this next song is about" Then they started playing this song.
In a live show that I downloaded (3/22/03) he says, "This one goes out to all the online gamers in the hizzouse, cause we play that shit all the time"
I would say it's just about computers in general.
and any computer nerd or windows user knows that the line "just restart and hope that everything will be alright" is 100% truth ... |

way up at the top of this page, people are talking about this being about a general and/or Jesus. i think it could easily be both since there are connections and ties to both (metaphorically for Jesus and literally for a general) but as a quote stated (from some band i like, but i cant think of who right now) their songs are just there and are open for interpretation by the listener. you can relate it to yourself in your own ways and hopefully draw your own connection that talks to you. even if you get other people's help (like what i do at this site) |

one time when me and two friends were uh... stoned (there i said it). one of my friends explained this whole "road less traveled theory" about how people just follow society the way adults want them to, in order to form a perfect society for themselves when they are older, but who cares. i live by the road less traveled and do what i want for fun. i cant explain all of it because it would take too long and you wouldn't understand it. this has been my life motto since. and you should check out the poem "the road not taken" by robert frost. anyways, this song makes me think of those and to live my life as an individual and not be part of the crowd |

dude!! you saw them on sno-core tour!! and i did too. it was amazing. not many people got into dredg, it was mostly glassjaw, and sparta (but i had to leave as soon as they started). but anyways. back to the song meaning:
