Wasn't this song writen about the last person in America that was given the death sentence of the electric chair?
All the words no matter how bizzare seem to fit to this story:
He can't belive whats happening (is this the reel life), he is telling his Mum that he is sorry, telling her to carry on without him, he did the crime so now has to face his punishment, the monstrosity is the elecric chair, He dosn't care in the end. |

I think this song is about being alone, as most of the things mentioned in the song point to this.
People who are alone are often not noticed and fade from the world, like the shots in the dark from emptied guns they are not heard and their attemps are pointless, you can't take back what you have become and how you got there. |

You shouldn't go through life doing things to impress others, you just end up looking childish, showing off and acting the fool. The person will end up thinking your a fool. My friend told me what this song was about and I agree with her. Basically its about a person who works in fast food and is in a band in his spare time. The band is good, but play 'unconventional' music. The person is sick of working in fast food and changes who he is to conform to what the record company wants him and his band to be like. His band now play and do what they want them to. The record companies decide what music should be like, the radio shows then play you what they want effecting directly what music the general public will get to hear. They decide whats the in thing and then you go out and buy it. Sadly thats the way it is. And this person is sad to be adding to it, but as he says,

Like bluekitty2 I also think that this is like Romeo and Juliet. They are disobaying their parents and are going to be together forever in everlasting peace, which leads to believe they have ended their lives together. They don't care what people think of them and hope that all the people that are aginst them being together choke, on all their wisdom. They can't touch them now. |

To me this song is about a person who has serious confidence problems. He is clearly in love, or rather infactuated, with a girl who he fears is too good for him. He displays these feelings by describing her as pefect, and angel and above all special; something that he feels he isn't. He's afaid that if he ever did express these feelings towards her she would be discusted and run away from him. |

This song is about a person asking for something more in a relationship. He is sick of putting in all the work and obaying orders and not getting anything but complaints in return. The person has decided he can do without that and ends the relationship in the song. I find this ong very powerful this gives the sense that the person does have very strong feelings and like he says can make it on his own without her. |

I think this song is about a person who's life is basically shit because of a past lover (the one who chalanged all his dreams and balance). HIs life is so bad to the point that he wants to end it but then, quite unintentionally, he meets this new love interest. He says he wants her but he should sort his life out first. She is his reason for carying on. |

To me it's about two people that were in a relationship and one of them had to go away somewhere so they ended it. The other person didn't want this to happen and asks him/her back. When they refuse they decide that they just has to live with it In the end it is better to have loved and lost then to never have loved at all. And although it's hard right now they'll just have to get over it. They can't see it right now but maybee in time they'll come to relise the other person was right and it was best to end the relationship. |
