This song describes exactly how I feel in my life right now and what I need someone to say to me. I can just hear my best friends saying this to me right now, and thinking of this song just makes me cry.
This song is definitely such a great song and they sort of sound like Queen towards the end right before that classic rock sounding guitar solo. |

This song just calls to me so much. Right now in my life I can relate to it so much. I went through this exact thing last week, and I was the girl saying "Don't go." I'm trying to fix what happened. I didn't even realize how much this song applies to me until I was driving alone last night and I found myself bawling. |

Wow, no wonder there are so many postings on this song. This is, by far, my most favorite Dashboard song. I seriously cried when he played it when I saw him live. It was just so amazing and I got into the music so much.
This song just reminds me of so many things I have in my life, and the ideal person to be with should be someone you can just do nothing with. It's not about the physical stuff, the highly emotional crap, but just the simple fact that you love that person and it's the best thing when you can just lay under the stars and talk. That's what relationships are all about. God, what I would give to have that again... |

Oh, by the way, the best part of the entire song is where Reese is yelling "Dear God, INCREASE!" And the horns do a few big notes. Then it just bursts out into "Healing hands of God have mercy on our unclean souls once again...."
That's the point in the song where I start crying. I cry just about every time I listen to this song, and I've been listening to it for years. |

FIF is my favorite band in the entire universe! This song is my absolute favorite song by them and favorite song of all time.
This song represents growing up. Things as a child are so easy and you feel as if you could fly or do anything your heart desires. When you begin to grow up and as you mature, life presents more difficulty, burdens, and stress. Through those difficulties, nothing can help you except for God. He can make you feel like you can do anything, like when you were a child. He can make "every new day feel so new."
Hearing this song played live by FIF was the most spiritual experience that I've ever had. Seriously. |
