When I heard this song for the first time, I cried. I am only 17, so my mom has a lot of time to live, but I could not imagine what it would feel like to lose my parents, the people who trusted me the most. I have ADHD so my mom has been very crucial and impactful in my life, and my Dad finds every moment for me to spend time with him. I could not comprehend this amount of grief and suicidal feeling from losing my parents, especially my mom. \n\nBack to when I first heard this song.\n\nAfter the song finished, I went right out to the dinner table, where she was sitting, typing away at her phone. \n\nI got her attention and told her that I would write a song about her when I grow up and get into a band.\n\nThen, I gave her the biggest hug and said four words.\n\n"I love you mom"\n\nAlways remember to love your parents, unless they are terrible ones. |
