I lost my father on April 15, 2020 - which also happened to be my birthday. Could not have been more poetic - he lost his life, but on that day thanks to him I was given the gift of life. This song has touched me very deeply for a long time, when I first discovered it, before my dad passed, and brings me to tears still, when I listen to it and think of him. The music and lyrics could not be more perfect, and this is one of my Top 10 songs! Dad RIP - love you. |
