Rush – Entre Nous Lyrics 1 year ago
Another great example of Neil looking at the world and sharing his observations. People like Neil amaze me. How they can look at the world and take notice of things that the average person would miss. The man was so gifted with his drumming capabilities and his way of communicaating his thoughts. I so wish I could have met him and just been able to talk with him on any subject. Im sure it would have been fascinating.

Triumph – Street Fighter (Reprise) Lyrics 1 year ago
These are the correct lyrics:
Far away over the hills
And over the plains
Lawmen search for the man
With no last name
Killer killed a killer
And a killer's got
To take the blame
Life seems wasted on some
It seems such a shame

Street fighter man
You got to run while you can
Street fighter man
You got to run while you can

Triumph – Ordinary Man Lyrics 1 year ago
My favorite of Triumph and Rik Emmett. I'm just the same as you I just do the best I can
That's the only answer...for an ordinary man. SO damn true. One of the amazing things about lyrics like this is it makes you wonder. Does anything ever really change in this world. This song is just as relevant today as the time it was writen, and if I were a betting man, I would wager that it will be 20, 30, 50 years from now. But, Im just another ordinary man.

Triumph – Blinding Light Show/Moonchild Lyrics 1 year ago
I love Triumph. Especially Rik Emmett. I didnt get into this song until much later, after the band was broke up and such. I must admit, while Im usually pretty good with finding song meanings, this one has me a little stumped. My immediate thought is it is about death. Going into the light. Then we get to the lyric about the crowd, and then the lines about the pretense world show and the profits come and go and I wonder if this isnt the first of many songs Rik Emmett wrote as the truth about the music business and greed, etc. Such as Just A Game. I really dont have the answer. I will say Im glad I revisited it because its a great song. Showing Triumphs inner prog!

Genesis – It's Gonna Get Better Lyrics 2 years ago
I absolutely adore this song. Especially where the "If Its gonna get better"starts up to the ending. Just breathtaking, awesome, Genesis! And the live version on the box set is f**king incredible! Terrible how this gem seems to get forgotten and unnoticed. Its one of the brightest spots of the later Genesis library. One that shows they didnt completely lose their prog during those years.

Uriah Heep – Circus Lyrics 2 years ago
I always thought that this song was about Hollywood. The glam and the ugly and what the fans see. Just the impression I get from it. Love it! And the Acoustic version with Ian Anderson done later is friggin amazing!

Kansas – Child Of Innocence Lyrics 4 years ago
Its about the Angel Of Death. Hence the line" Though you're weary and afraid
Still you try to flee my blade
Come and walk in my new land
If you'll only take my hand"

Kind of obvious.
