When I first Iistened to this song, I didn't think much of it- however, as I thought about it more and more I started to get this feeling of what it was about. You know how people with depression and suicidal tendencies tend to do risky things, even if they're not intentionally trying to kill themselves? Like, for example, crossing the road without looking- secretly hoping a car will hit them. Though this is certainly only one interpretation- that's the impression this song gives me. At first, it's little warnings- like eating healthy, looking after eyesight- then progresses to drinking bleach on a beach known for fast approaching tides and sewage contamination. Really, just wanting the person you love to look after themselves in the little things. |
