John Frusciante – The Will to Death Lyrics 6 years ago
i love that when listening to this, his voice is in one earphone and his guitar in the other. Also, has anyone else noticed the sound of pages turning? These little details make the song so much more personal, and like John is right there, singing it to me. I feel that this song is about getting through the tough times no matter what. "The Will to Death is What Keeps Me alive", is an example of this. People usually talk about The Will to Live, so it's a bit of oxymoronic, but makes sense, too. It reminds me of Anthony Kiedis' quote of "What doesn't kill you only makes your book longer". I see this as just hold on for the ride, whatever happens, because life is beautiful no matter what, and it may all take a turn for the better, so stay strong. Also, this would make sense because John and Anthony were very close, and John said once that he wouldn't be here, writing music if it weren't for Anthony. I have no idea if this comment makes any sense, just my interpretation ???? :)

John Frusciante – Sphere Lyrics 6 years ago
This is the type of song that makes me sit up straight in my chair and keep my head held high. Although this song is purely an instrumental, with no lyrics, it's powerful. 8 minutes of deep thought every time. Thanks, John and Josh.

John Frusciante – Omission Lyrics 6 years ago
Josh and Johns' voices compliment and contrast each other's perfectly. This song gives me feelings of sadness, guilt, but also hope. That's one of the reasons I love John's music so much, there is always a glimmer of hope in the sad songs, and a glint of sadness and reality in the happier ones. He has extraordinary talent, and I am honored to be on this earth at the same time as him. Long live John Frusciante!!

John Frusciante – 909 Day Lyrics 6 years ago
What has always amazed me with John is his ability to tell such a complex, deep and beautiful story with so few words, and sometimes even none. This particular song takes me on an emotional journey, from "I wish my dreams were are serene", and the music along with it, to a lighter-feeling, emotional section from about 1:25 onward. When John's voice comes in, it changes completely once more, a more soulful and powerful feeling. I hope everyone who sees this will agree that John is a beautiful genius.
