Hauntingly beautiful. You can hear her yearning. He is the best thing A beautiful feeling And when I watch you move And I can't think straight And I am silenced And I can't think straight Thom Yorke's contribution to this song is wonderful. And please give a listen to her version of this song in the Peel Sessions if you haven't. So raw. The intro of piano in that version is so perfect, especially at the 2:32 minute mark and her voice quivering with "like when I watch you move". My God it gets to me. This song in my life is about someone I had and let go. |

Ten years ago we met and had a magnetic force between us that's indescribable. It started with a casual email in March and one month later we were in deep and in for the roller coaster ride of a lifetime. We fell in love immediately. We embarked on a 3-year affair but it ultimately had to end. I couldn't be with him. I was in a place in life where I thought I could leave to be with him but in the end, I couldn't. He waited for me for a few years but he had to move on when he saw I wasn't coming. I've never been the same after that relationship. I have no regrets except for the pain it caused him in the end. Ten years ago today was the consummation of a relationship that has made an imprint on my soul that I will carry into every life after this one. I've never gotten over him and I never will. Not a single day has gone by in 10 years that I haven't thought about him. This song speaks to my soul. The significance of the title aside with this year being the 10-year anniversary since we met, it's more about the rest of it.
