Hey everyone- I know for a FACT that many of lifehouse's songs are worship songs to God. Many people think they are about a girl or a love song, and I can see how you'd think that, but it's not the case. Lifehouse USED to be a band called "blissed" and they played the worship music at my friend's church in southern California. They do not call themselves a christian band for several reasons. One is that not all of the guys in the band are Christians. I think only two of them are. Secondly, when a band is like hey hey hey we're christians, that in turn, pisses off people who are not christians because you immediately assume that they are going to get preachy on you and tell you what to do etc. Christianity is NOT something to be pushed on people, cos it's gotta be you're own choice. So basically, the guys that write this music are writing about something very very important to them (their relationship with God). They are simply sharing with you the joy they have with that through their music. Take a look at the lyrics to the song "Everything" and that should help clear things up. peace out. |
