I think this song is kind of tied to Everything Is Borrowed in the sense that... before us (Humans) there were no houses, cars, and other things like that. I feel he's trying to remind us, or himself, that life isn't about these things, that there is beauty in Nature and things that you don't need to spend money on. Everything that we own, do we really own it. When he says things like "I'm not trapped in a box" he means he's not spending his life on a couch behind walls, he wants to get out there and experience this planet that we are not just taking for granted, but killing. |
