Guess you guys don't remember the early Beavis and Butthead. Beavis was obsessed with fire, and after some complaints this was censored. Beavis' "Fire! Fire" became more benign statements such as "Yeah! Yeah!" In short, the song is speaking to people that create such controversy around themselves that they are absorbed by it, and are defined by it. They produce nothing themselves, but are elevated only by fanning the flames and the problems of others. They are like Beavis, ready to embrace fire wherever it may start. |
