"In the name o' the wee man", is a Scottish expression which probably equates to "Jeez" or "Jesus Christ" as an expression of astonishment. That is, the wee man is probably Jesus but not literally, just a figure of speech. Simon probably didn't even think about what it meant when he wrote it as it's just an everyday expression in the West of Scotland. |

Anyone who knows anything about music in the early days knows that artists were always using code to get songs past the censor. Rock'n'roll actually means sex! "If you see my little red rooster, please drive him home". Think about it. Willie Dixon knew what he was writing about and it wasn't about a farmyard bird. |
