This song isn’t about Matty, himself, or his band’s fame. I’m pretty positive its about his parents' fame and how he had to grow up with it. When he says, “You’ve seen so many faces that I’ve never seen before”, it means that his parents were traveling most of the time, while he and his brother were at home. When he says, “Well I stay tuned, listen to the news and try to fall asleep at night”, he’s talking about how his parents were always on tv and in tabloids. “Because I’m living in a house with just three walls, So I’m always getting recognized” means that the tabloids were always up in their business because of his parents' fame and how he’s always getting recognized not for who he is, but for his parents are. -- got this from genius.com |
