Thousand Foot Krutch – So Far Gone Lyrics 8 years ago
Even though these lyrics are mainly about love and worship, I honestly think that there can be a third meaning for this. This song is easy to relate to in many ways that it's ridiculous. Though love and worship is the main meaning of this song, I also see appreciation. In Trevor's lines, "Sometimes I wonder why you even care, because when I leave you're always there," It can be a reference to God and his loving ways. But don't you think you can go beyond the boundaries about the meaning and extend it further? You can be referring to the love and appreciation you have for your friends, family, and loved ones. I don't know if it's just me, but when it comes to the meaning of songs I like to looking beyond the original meaning of ANY song I listen to. This song is a very soothing song, and it is very heart warming. I know the usual intensity that Thousand Foot Krutch has in their music, but I can honestly say that "So far gone," "Fly on the wall," and "Be somebody" were the possibly the best songs that weren't so intense. Long live TFK.

Breaking Benjamin – I Will Not Bow Lyrics 8 years ago
Wow. I just came to give my interpretation of the song, but I can see SO many ways that this song was deciphered. Even though it's already been talked about to nearly death, I'm going to give my version of everyone's way of interpreting the song.

The verse seems like a comparison as living life like it is a battlefield. Where the only means of survival is to leave behind the "dead" and just fight to survive for yourself. It's not a good way to go, let me tell you. You'll need all the help you can get if you want to get through this "battlefield."

The second part of the verse is just as many have said, this is not a very positive way to think. On top of the threats of bad people being there, there are also good people on the "battlefront" trying to make it through to safety. But as they go further into this battlefront, they have lost the desire to even care anymore. They don't wish to help anyone but themselves at this point, and only wish to just survive.

The Pre-chorus and Chorus just basically sums up most of the song's meaning. At this point, pretend that this person is not on the battlefield anymore. Pretend that this good person has been surrounded by society and is being pressured by all of its expectations. He wishes to shut everyone out in the world, and he wants to do his own thing. This also goes with the "battlefront" that he or she walks through every day. They just want to get out of there without any setbacks. They don't want anything to hold them back as they're fighting their way through life.

Second verse is almost an addition to this summary, explaining how this person became so cold and as to why he doesn't stop fighting. And the addition to the chorus also explains that even though this person is cold and only in it for him/herself, they aren't proud of the way that they have changed. However, it just stuck with them like glue and it cannot be removed. Though deep inside they have regret for the way they are so cold and how they leave so many defenseless to fend for themselves, they can't brush aside that this change caused their minds to forget about compassion and to just learn to fend for yourself ahead of everyone.

Well that was my version of it. I won't be a brat and everything, so I'm going to credit the people who actually helped me a bunch to actually decipher this song enough to give you guys my opinion. And here they are:

@xtroll
@[Seprough:6730]
@AdzFilmaker

Believe it or not, @AdzFilmaker was close to making me comment his stuff on my interpretation. But I thought that sobriety was something not many people came up with, so I'm going to let it be. The other two actually meant a lot to me, and they helped a bunch. Credit to these three people, guys. They helped a lot. =D

I've read most of the comments and many ways people have deciphered this song. People say that that it has something to do with parents. Other's say it's society. Other's say it's with just personal issues, etc.

Taking all this information to mind, you actually are all correct about this. If you think about it, society tends to judge and pressure you for the type of person that you can be. There are people who just aren't very accepting, and they will only accept you if you accept the same trend as them or if you conform with their expectations.

Unfortunately, our parents can also be a problem when it comes to this song. Not every single parent is like this, but most parents tend to choose their children's future and how they should grow up. They may think that what they're doing is only for the best of their kids, but they don't realize that they're actually the problem of the entire situation. And what makes matters worse is that when they do realize what they children really want to be or do with their lives, most of the time...they aren't very accepting about it in any way. They don't support their ideas and ways of living, and they think that those ideas are just life threatening. Sometimes they'll even go as far as to isolate them from all these "threats" such rock, cultural arts, and other things that make people very expressive and think. Like I said, it's not applied to every parent. However, it is unfortunate to say that it does match a few perspectives of people's parents.

And finally, internal issues. It doesn't really hint on it that much, but you can get a slight amount of information about it. The constant pressure that you feel when you want to do something, it stands as a road block in a lot of people's lives. Sometimes pressure and anxiety can motivate people to work hard or to get through tough situations. But for a vast majority, it's what keeps people in darkness and in deep depression. It isolates the person's body, mind, and heart. It's what makes them feel weak inside, and feel worthless. Internal pressure and lack of self-confidence. The feeling of wanting to fit in with society, etc.

That last part might not have been right, but as I said---It's just what I feel is part of the song. I just used the information I was given, and I used my own perspective about this song. I hope you guys liked it.

I'm not going to go on a rant like most fans would, even though I like this band personally. But to be honest, what you think about Three Days Grace is just YOUR personal opinion. And like (avanilyricmaster) mentioned, they write songs about what they feel is important and about their feelings. They are a group that-like most bands I personally listen to-share their creative art to make people feel like they can relate to them. Their songs have deep meaning, which makes people feel really comfortable knowing that there are people who care enough to make music about this.

Sure, some songs they've made are kind of depressing with it's tone and it's message. But if you consider all of their songs and all the messages they use in every single song through their career, they actually are trying to make the world see life through a new perspective. They want the world to feel like they belong, and that they care. That's what makes them a pretty amazing band.

But like I said, this is just my personal opinion. Everyone has an opinion, and everyone is entitled to them. It doesn't mean we all have to agree though. So if you don't have anything nice to say, just please stop being so negative. The purpose of this website is to get a bunch of people to come together and try to decipher this song's meaning. This isn't social media. So please stop with your negative comments on THIS site, and take them to Facebook or something.

Shinedown – 45 Lyrics 8 years ago
I know people have already gotten the meaning of this song completely confirmed, it's not bad to add some other thoughts.

The "barrel of a 45" can mean two different things, in my opinion. A 45, being a handgun, and he's getting ready to commit suicide. Or two, the 45 being the hole in his life that has clouded him in deep depression and tragic experiences. This song is mostly dedicated to give those who are suffering with massive amounts of heart-ache hope. Those who are close to ending themselves, to consider turning that option down. The lead singer wants to send a message out there to everyone in the world. And that message, is: "Never lose faith in life. Never lose hope. And above all else, never...lose your true self. Stay true to YOU, and love yourself for who you are, because there are people who love you just as much. If not, more."

Well, that was what I had to say. I hope this appeals to you all. =) Have a great day.

Kutless – More than it seems Lyrics 9 years ago
I've heard this song by Kutless many times, and personally loved it. And over the time, I started trying to decode the meaning. And for you guys, I want to give you MY personal statement and thoughts about what the song MIGHT mean. You don't have to agree with anything I say, but I would love to know what you guys think about the way I decoded this song. I'm barely 15, so I might not be "on the dot" about it. But that's okay. Enjoy.

"Is my Imagination really running away
Or is all this really happening to me?
Am I a prince in a far away land filled with fantasy?"

From what I can see here, he seems like he's lost; Not necessarily meaning "lost in a certain area." Not exactly. His mind, and maybe his heart, may also be lost in the commotion of his life. He doesn't truly know his identity, or even what his purpose is, causing him to question himself about WHO he is, and WHY he's the person he is.

"Where is reality and what are the actions that will define who I am?
I am holding onto the visions I've seen of what I could be
It's what I should be"

From what I see of these lyrics, he's searching for something real. And he's trying to figure out how that could help him define his identity, or maybe his life. He keeps getting these mental images of what he could be, and so he tries to find a way to be what his "visions" make him out to be.

"More than it seems these dreams inside (show me the way to these dreams)
Blur reality's line ('til there's nothing that's left of me)
If I could believe the dreams aside (show me the way to these dreams)
I am capable more than it seems"

The lyrics, "more than it seems these dreams inside blur reality's line," states that his dreams are blinding the reality that he's living in, and he's starting to believe that the possibilities are impossible. But he slowly progresses through his journey, trying to believe in himself and the "dreams" that he put aside. And the last lyrics "I am capable of more than it seem" kind of relates to the sayings, "There's more to meets the eye," and, "The inward journey is about finding your fullness, something that no one else can take away."

Well you guys, that's all the time I have at the moment. If you guys have any comments about my description, let me know down in the comments section. If you prefer to talk to me privately, just send me a message and hopefully I have the time to go online to look at it. See you, and God bless you guys. ^w^

Thousand Foot Krutch – Down Lyrics 9 years ago
My view of this is similar to Pezable's. The point of this song is about proving the doubters wrong. Even if it starts to hurt, sometimes you got to grit your teeth, and smile about it. These doubters have no control over you. They never have, and they never will. In the song, "Born this way" by thousand foot krutch, it kind of mingles together about the moral message of the songs. They both resemble having the drive to keep pressing forward, even when nobody supports your ideals or beliefs. I think the message of both morals of the songs have to do with "Not giving a damn what people say, and just keep doing what you do."

Thousand Foot Krutch – Born This Way Lyrics 9 years ago
This song, in my opinion, explains "you" alone are the "train" that can't be stopped, which they mention in the song. The lines, "I got lightning running through my veins" resembles the adrenaline one has. When Trevor says, "So hop on board or get out the way" he's basically stating that you are either with him, or against him. This rule applies to about everyone, not just one person. There are times when people will doubt you, but it is up to you to build that unstoppable "train" that keeps pressing forward.
