I don't know if this song is like other songs I've heard, but I've noticed that sometimes things have dual meaning. It's good art because it leaves it open to interpretation and more people get hooked that way. With the lyrics: I remember when we were gambling to win Everybody else said better luck next time I don't wanna bend, let bad girls bend I just wanna be your friend ... this can obviously be interpreted as wanting a nonsexual relationship. But also, when she says they were gambling to win, bend takes on a new meaning. In this case a bend in gambling or a crimp is marking a card. They ise this secret many songs to seeming make the song everything to everyone. That's what I've found anyway. |

I stated earlier that I believed the song to be biblical in nature. I will elaborate on this. I believe that when he says "My boss just quit the job" He's talking about god saying that he doesn't want to have communication with Adam anymore, or boss him around. "Going out to find blind spots" might be referring to god finding unbelievers and then bringing them in. Getting to the promised land is finding the paradise Earth or heaven that is promised in the bible. Then it says the "Third planet is sure that it's being watched by an eye in the sky that can't be stopped" That is referring to the way atheists view god as just an eye in the sky that they're paranoid about. Some people might think that the fall of man was Adam and Eve having sex together and conceiving Adam their first son, BUT I think that this is a misconception. It would make sense because at the end of the verse where he felt the heart it says that's how the world began and that's how it'll end. Which is literally in the book of genesis, which is the book of creation. When it says A third planet had just been made. "A third planet had just been made" <-- Obviously refers to the creation of Earth which further bolsters support for the idea that it was referring to the book of genesis. "And we were swimming in the water, Didn't know then was it a son was it a daughter" ( I almost want to think that it should be didn't know then that his son was in his daughter, because Adam was having sex with Eve and conceived Able) I can explain the rest of it if yall are interested in my interpretation. :-) |

To me the song is talking about the bible. When he says: "When he Baby cum angles fly around you Reminding you we used to be three and not just two." He is talking about Adam and Eve losing their relationship with god. That they used to be 3 but they're now 2. While all this is going on Adam and Eve realized that they had sinned and it makes them realize certain things. Also the fact that it says "outside naked shivern lookin blue". Adam and Eve were naked before they're fall from grace and became clothed afterwards by the hide of an animal. I think he might be referring to the forbidden fruit as being sex... im not sure |
