To me the song is actually sad. The firs stanza describes how anythibg veau t idul to the blund would emphasized by their condition. Even if its not the most beautiful thing and has ts flaws it would druve them wild. The lover in te song is the same. Maybe the speaker has been aloe for so long that this is his equivalent to the sught for sore eyes. Even if she isnt perfect hes happy. The end is bitter. Despite trying to find meaning and lasting love in the relationship, however it just was not there. |
