Avenged Sevenfold – Almost Easy Lyrics 10 years ago
I personally think it's about someone who goes crazy and... well.. murders his mother and/or family. Then, when he returns to his normal state, simply wishes to be forgiven for what he has done.

Bastille – Pompeii Lyrics 10 years ago
I think that this is-- aside from actually being about Pompeii-- being about the London Blitz. With "I was left to my own devices, many days fell away with nothing to show," being about how the United States, and nobody else really "helped" them during the blitz, being left with "their own devices." And this verse, "And the walls kept tumbling down, in the city that we love, great clouds roll over the hills, bringing darkness from above," would be speaking of how the Nazis bombed the city day and night, completely destroying most of London. This next one I'm not entirely sure on, but... "Does it almost feel like you've been here before? How am I gonna be an optimist about this?" would most likely be said people speaking talking about The Great War (WWI), and how this is the same, if not worse. It's obviously been "proven" that this song is actually, directly, about the city of Pompeii and the explosion of Mount Vesuvius-- I just think this could be about WWII and the London Blitz, just with putting the lyrics together, not thinking about volcanoes and such.

Avenged Sevenfold – Seize The Day Lyrics 10 years ago
It's saying for you to seize the day, because if you lose someone, you can't have them back. This goes for everyone, friends, loved ones, family, etc... and this song is very, very true. Live every day like you won't see anyone ever again, because you don't know how long you have, they have left, or what tomorrow holds.

Avenged Sevenfold – Sidewinder Lyrics 10 years ago
This song feels very... western? More so like a demon gunslinger in the Wild West, or at least something similar. "I slide through the wasteland that's my world
My hunger takes your life, preyed on to keep me alive, yeah
Mercy's all that you need, mercy's empty in me," just feels like the old west, but it most likely bound to the bible in some way, shape, or form-- just as The Wicked End does-- and just as the rest of their songs do.
