Hollywood Undead – City Lyrics 10 years ago
This is very old and I don't know if anyone will see it but it is not
"Take the pill
go get drunk
go get killed
double dose"

This is the correct lyrics:

"Take the pill
In God we trust
Go and kill
God loves us"

Angels and Airwaves – Distraction Lyrics 10 years ago
Distraction is is about the bombings in Britain by the Nazis and The War is about the invasion of D-Day.

"There's a field nearby
With words written in stone
My love will not die
Please let it be known"

The field is a park or just a place where he would play or hang out with friends. Words written i stone is referring to the memories he has of that field. The love is either for his friends, his town or a girl....or all three.

"This place is dead
It echoes through town
There isn't one voice
I haven't heard a sound"

The place is his home and the echo means everyone can feel it. The voices are the creams of pain and death.

"The planes flew in
Their bombs did too
The city fell flat
The fires they grew"

Pretty self explanatory. Refers to the London bombings'

"When the smoke comes in
It'll color this town
But i'll still have you
So i'll say it out loud"

The smoke will cover all of Britain and will color the town dark. He refers to someone or something that he will still have.

"The friendship we made
Is a waste of our time
There's no one left here
To show future that's kind.

The friendship they made was a waste because there no one left to show a nicer and kinder future due to deaths and destruction of the bombings.

"It's a world of hate
Gone incredibly wrong
We cared too late
We just followed along"

The hate most likely refers to the concentration camps of the Nazis and how it went incredibly wrong. They cared too late means they didn't stop the Nazis until they were too powerful or didn't help the Jews until after the war. Them just following along refers to letting the Nazis become powerful and not opposing them.

"And the boys went down
With their gun in their hand
Their weapon of choice
Their knees in the sand"

The boys that went down are the soldiers dying on the beaches with their guns in their hand. Basically, saying they died fighting.

"In that field nearby
Was still their to be used
Would you ever have known
Those words were for you?"

The field that previously was is no more and is completely different or destroyed. The words, previously written in stone, were gone too but someone realizes after the fact what the words truly meant.
