that would be a great explanation - theres a crowded house song called "she goes on" that uses a similar trick.
however in this case the title ashes to ashes is a red herring and bears no relation to the lyrics - it was a working title because fnm thought the stop/start drums sounded like the Bowie song of the same name. usually the working titles would be replaced at some point but in this case nothing better came along so it stuck... |
