Van Morrison – Moondance Lyrics 9 years ago
God! What a sexy song! It stops me every time I hear it, and for 5 minutes I just daydream...

Jackson Browne – Stay Lyrics 10 years ago
Responding to Fbplyr67. Right, and I think the "Stay" part of the song which JB re-wrote is just magic! Genius on his part to recognize how well that song would work in combo with the Load Out. My internet music service occasionally plays the "Stay" part only. So disappointed, because the combo song is one of my all-time favorites!

Al Stewart – Year Of The Cat Lyrics 10 years ago
I've always liked this song; the haunting melody pulls you in. But never really listened to the lyrics until now - and now I love the song. The imagery of the lyrics is pure poetry - the sexual connotation is obvious. Takes me back to my college days in the 70's. I'll be paying closer attention next time I hear it.

Jackson Browne – The Load Out/Stay Lyrics 10 years ago
From Running On Empty, the first time I heard this song, I loved it! Whenever the deejay prefaces a song saying, "stay tuned, the next one's by Jackson Browne"... my fingers are crossed that it will be The Loadout/Stay. I don't know why the song speaks to me so deeply. I have no personal experience of what it is like to be performing on the road, but this song delivers the message with a wallop. I guess my favorite part of the song is how The Loadout melds so perfectly into Stay, as if the second song was intended to be a refrain. Certainly on my top ten list, I just don't get to hear this song often enough.

Billy Joel – Piano Man Lyrics 10 years ago
"The piano man recognizes he is the same as everyone else in this bar."
Yes! That's the message of the last stanza, and that completes the song. I think there is solace here, in that everyone has unfulfilled talent, but we do the best with what we have and where we are, and you know, its not all that bad. Billy Joel's finest song.

Dire Straits – Telegraph Road Lyrics 10 years ago
DS was my favorite band, and this, my favorite song from them. Certainly their most powerful song, I was always intrigued by the lyrics, expecting that Knopfler was singing about a real place, (maybe Milwaukee in my home state?), and then that long kick-ass instrumental always got me going so that I had to hit the replay button. And then one day, I was on vacation traveling through Detroit, and of course then the lyrics all came together. Perhaps my fav song of all time.

Jefferson Starship – Miracles Lyrics 10 years ago
Jefferson Starship was always just a so-so band for me, but this song, one of my all-time favorites, during my teen-age years, and still is! I love the music and I love the message. I always stop what I'm doing and turn this one up, whenever I hear it.
