i think that this song could be about escaping from and abusive or controllng realtionship. "Well I knew what I didn't want to know And I saw where I didn't want to go" i think that she's realizing that this isn't a good relationship for her to be in and she's realizing that she has to leave "Well in this life, you must find something to live for 'Cause when the darkness comes calling You go back to where you were before" in this line its saying that you have to move on and be happy because when the darkness (abusive ex) comes calling you will go back to them "Well I lost my innocence when in I let him dive But the way he looked at me made me feel alive" in these lines she's talking about when she fell in love with him, and it explains that there was at one point love in their relationship these are just what i got from the lyrics when i looked at them |
