He's reached the feeling of complete uselessness e.g. ego death and now can hear his inner voice. His inner voice actually has a personality for the sake of verses that explain what it actually is. The first part of verse one is saying, 'It was eventual so the wait was nothing to me,' 'yes, I'm real. Don't be afraid. I can straighten you out if you listen to me.' |
