In my opinion, this song represents societal ignorance. Everybody constantly going about their own business, not acknowledging others as they walk by people in the streets. Getting through the minor challenges, "the boredom and pain". But then not knowing whats really going on at a higher level, and starting to develop a sense of curiosity, "wondering which of the buggers to blame", though afraid to brake the state of ignorance due to the fear of a regime. I can see the whole scene playing out when I hear this song. Brilliant |
