The Head and the Heart – Lost In My Mind Lyrics 8 years ago
I think it's a song from a dead brother to a surviving one:

"Put your dreams away for now, I won't see you for some time" -- Establishing the distance between them, physical and temporal.

"Oh my brother / Your wisdom is older than me / Oh my brother / Don't you worry 'bout me" -- Establishing that his brother is older or at least longer-lived than he ever was, and that he is past any mortal concern.

Then he goes on to ask his brother about his activities in life, most of which are fairly straightforward activities for a man: Bricklaying, engine repair, mortaring a bridge. "Are your hands getting filled" could imply plenty of things: By a beloved woman, or financially, or simply keeping oneself busy.

"Won't you tell me my brother / 'Cause there are stars up above" -- His brother in paradise, or heaven, somewhere he can see the night stars and take pleasure in their presence.

"We can start moving forward" -- They can both start moving forward from the tragedy of his own death.

First Aid Kit – I Found a Way Lyrics 9 years ago
It's a beautiful song about a good love shared between two bad (or at least flawed) people.

It's the song about a woman who loves a bad man, one whose nature inherently excites her, and she identifies with in turn: (by midnight time I could not see - if I were you or you were me / give me your love, give me your gun, and you traced us back to where we begun).

There's clearly an element of danger to their relationship, and one of loving menace. Whoever she loves, he's a gun-carrying man with a checkered past, but she has her own checkered past too: (There's a heavy load upon our backs -
Of things we carry from the past).

She's a woman who found herself seeking oblivion, a release from her history, nature, and guilt: (as I was looking for a way - to disappear), and who finds that within her good love to an otherwise bad man, there's something redemptive to be found between them. (and so the morning came and swept the night away / I found a way I found a way, to reappear).

Her loyalty (I'll follow you, where you'll go, Yes I'll be there, just so you know) is reciprocated: (my guilt-filled mind, it tried to run, but you chased us back, to where we'd begun).
