Anberlin is not a Christian band, they are only "Christian inspired," though parts of your guess do hold merit. I think it has more to do with conformity, because if you are just believing in God, doing drugs, and having sex to fit in, they really don't mean anything in themselves. Conformity: "We were so comfortable, living in each other's skin I was dying from within" Not your own: "You should have thought about them for now But God, drugs and sex don't mean a thing To you now, do they now, baby?" There is more that kinda points to this, but I'm lazy and those were the ones that popped out to me. |
