This song to me is like being in a relationship you really need a break from. You really love the person you are with, but it is either too much right now or maybe the person is too clingy. The song gives examples like "don't ask me my direction' which means almost like let me be alone. Also the line "Well you asked how much I love you, why do ships with sails love the wind?" This line expresses that the love still exists, and like wind in the sails it will always be there. |

It's like how people return to their roots, for example in the lyrics they mention going back to the country, almost like returning to your real home. Also the medication part would be like how someone is dealing with their homesick depression. The cure is returning home to the country. (By country i mean anywhere that's not "the city") |
