Garbage – Not My Idea Lyrics | 11 years ago |
I always thought it was anti-religious. Though I can't be sure of that. It's rather vague. |
Garbage – Vow Lyrics | 11 years ago |
That's hilarious! I never considered that, and I'm a BDSM freak. LOL |
Garbage – Sleep Together Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Umm... It's about the ways that people use sex to make themselves feel better about themselves. She's being sarcastic throughout the whole thing. It's all there. Also, the lyric in the first verse is "Satisfy this hungriness", not "my hungriness". |
Garbage – I Think I'm Paranoid Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Umm... It's about her love/hate relationship with the music business. "Paranoid, complicated, manipulated.. I fall down just to give you a thrill, prop me up with another pill... Bend me, break me, any way you need me, as long as I want you, baby, it's all right." It's all there. "Hammering In My Head" is kind of a follow-up to this. In that one, she's on the touring circuit, dealing with groupies and stuff, and has some kind of crazy one-night stand with a groupie or something. She has a love/hate relationship with The Biz. Understandable, really. Not every song is about a romantic relationship, especially considering that this is Shirley Manson we're talking about here. She's irreverent, sarcastic, riding the edge... sometimes outright rude toward the subject of some of her songs. She has a truckload of attitude, especially on this album. But the confusion here is understandable given the vague nature of this song. She doesn't exactly come out and say who she's ranting about. |
