Katherine Nelson – When All Is Said And Done Lyrics 11 years ago
The meaning of this song is pretty clear in the lyrics. As one approaches the golden years of life, will they be able to look back and see a life of enduring faith? Most poignantly, will they have become a better person through it? It's meant as a question to pose to yourself, will you want to be the person you've become, when all is said and done? When the final moment of your life comes, will you glory in the sweet release?

As a side note, I would disagree with the first commenter, BobGV, in that I don't think the song is at all about 'doing enough' to be able to reside with God, but rather it's about what you've become, and that in turn will let you kneel at the Savior's feet and let Him say, 'Well done." Granted, what you do can have a great impact on what you become, but your motivations behind your actions can make a great difference.
