I think there is no rational explanation for these lyrics as words. They are cleverly put together in order, consistent with the song's theme to describe with an abstract way the unhealthy paranoid lifestyle of our capitalistic world and how humans are crashed by it. I think that is the theme of the whole album and i guess that's why it had that huge impact on audiences around the world. It's now classic. |

Actually you are right. According to the album's booklet and my ears it is "this time" and not "to success". |

Actually this song was released prior to OK Computer album and it was Radiohead's contribution to The Help Album, a charity compilation organized by War Child to benefit children affected by the Bosnian War. So i guess it's clearly ironically titled Lucky and there are so many references to war images all over the text. |
