man the video for this adds so much and paired with the song lyrics, it tells a great story. this is an artist sharing a deep self reflection. only wayne himself can truly understand and appreciate this work to the fullest but it def says alot about him and his pain. while viewing this i tried to keep in mind that his life was different from mine. and with that i tried to imagine what that ment for him growing up, age 9 signed up to be a rapper. what does that make him think of himself and of what is expected of him? i have no idea(in a video doc. of him he said he was raped at 11 by some woman in a room full of people and had his own kid at 15.. he was drunk or high when he said this so it leads me to think it was a confession of sorts, or maybe just trying to spook the kid he was talking to who was 15... mirror mirror? :3 ) things i see in the video...blood. blood and more blood refrence. from the paint everywhere surrounding him,to it being on his hands and tattoo'd on his back. also MANY suicide/killing self refrences. him gesturing a noose, him hanging sill with feet off gound, and a gun to his head. maybe not suicidal, rather the things hes done have killed a part of him inside. what do i know? awesome video by an awesome ARTIST. |
