Rihanna – We Found Love Lyrics

LOL. There's not even one line in the entire song that points to any type of addiction. The song could very well be about one person being married and hence unavailable. Face it: the song has few lyrics and really says very little. |

You can say shit, you know. We're both adults here. And it won't kill you. Besides, it's not as though either of us has any class. |

Gym Class Heroes – Stereo Hearts (feat. Adam Levine) Lyrics

I cannot stop listening to this song even though I'm a little embarrassed to admit it. I have never liked his voice (Adam's) yet this song is addictive....much like Sexy and I Know It by LMFAO. I'm hooked on those two tracks lately! |

I can't stop listening to this track; it has the BEST beat. I just re-watched the video on YouTube and realized that the former porn king himself is featured near the beginning of the video (the short fat guy who can now be found on late night TV selling penile enhansers and other such stuff...I once flew on the same plane as he and got to hear some of his crazy stories:) The video is a riot and the song (even though it's meant to be funny) is PERFECT !!! |

No comments on this one by one of (if not the) best guitar player of all time?!? You're all nuts. Can you imagine being Ray Vaughan's girlfriend and having him sing/play this tune for you. Definitely a love song, and definitely one with the usual Stevie flare :) |

David Bowie – Modern Love Lyrics

Never understood the song and never cared to back when it was popular over the airwaves. Bowie was BIG...we all just listened and enjoyed. Went on a date with one William Chamberlain (a business major) who worshipped Bowie. The only problem was that he worshipped Bowie more than he worshipped me (hence the one date, but still a nice guy whose daddy was LOADED:) |

Elton John – Goodbye Yellow Brick Road Lyrics

This song has gotta go! Look at the friggin' page! It's a series of educational lessons! I think my blonde head is going to burst. As for Elton's "class," I have never associated him with class. His behavior speaking out on issues which he knows nothing about (one example..his declaration that racism is why viewers eliminated a black girl over a white boy on American Idol...neglecting the fact that the white boy was a Justin Beiber cute type and all the young girls were flooding the phone lines). Sorry...just needed to vent about Elton who has a BIG MOUTH when it comes to other people's issues. UGH. |

Green Day – Macy's Day Parade Lyrics

Oh, how behind the times you are :) Walmart opened at 10 PM Thanksgiving with door buster sales on clothing; toys; and small appliances. At midnight they unveiled their electronic doorbusters. Therefore, "Black Friday" has now moved to Thanksgiving, so we have less time to celebrate giving and more time to celebrate taking:) Nice song analysist, but I don't believe this song was written about Black Friday; it probably has to do with the emptiness of materialism, though. |

Doris Day – Que Sera, Sera Lyrics

I was a child when this song was popular (unless I'm mistaken, and due to age I may be:). I used to love it...sing it to myself. It made me smile. Day was popular when life seemed so simple and innocent. (I recall when married television couples had to keep at least one leg on the floor if they kissed on the bed; when cuss words were not used in the media; and when we could use our imagination instead of sex hitting us in our faces). Ah....there were definitely some perks to the generation of Day's. |

NOT moody? You keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel better :) Perhaps if you slept (or at least tried to sleep) you would smile more. It's a NEW day so get out and enjoy it with friends (or find a nice sunny spot and read a good book). |

First time hearing this song; I was driving to a sale before turning around from a sale because the world is a crazy place on Black Friday:) I don't know Calvin Harris and I am not a huge fan of Rhianna's voice; however, this song's sound is excellent. There are too few lyrics (too much redundancy), but the "sound" (I never know what else to call it, unfortunately) is breathtaking. Loved it. |

Disturbed – Mine Lyrics

No mention of religion or lack thereof in the song. Religion is but one catalyst for war, and when you look deeper even when we think it's about religion (ie. Israel, Palestinians, etc) it's more about terrority; self-defense; and self-identity. Religion just is the catch all for blame, and usually it's those of no faith who are pointing the crooked fingers :D |

Fort Minor – Where'd You Go? Lyrics

I like the band and this track. With my family gone for the next few days, this is the prefect song. I like a quiet house, but not for more than a day. I miss the sound of little feet running across the wood floors; the sound of "I know you do" whenever I say "I love you"; and those surprise kisses on the cheek. It's awful to miss two people so much when they are but a phone call away; perhaps it's because it's a holiday weekend. Regardless, this song is good. |

System of a Down – Hypnotize Lyrics
|
"In the late 60's protesting became a fad." Do you really believe that's all it was? I believe it was an awakening to the failures and lies of a government which the Leave It to Beaver generation trusted no differently than their pastors and pediatricians. Social conscience was something new, and although rebellion didn't sit well with their parents (which may have been a plus for the youth of the 60's) I would hope that their true agenda had to do with CHANGE...changing both attitude and actions for the better (to benefit all). A good example was the young whites who helped to end racist laws...risking bodily injury and emotional flack from many to come down to the south to protest. I don't believe getting hit by water from canons; getting yelled at and spit upon; getting hit with night sticks; etc was all part of a 'fad." I believe the motivation for change (positive change) was genuine. |

Dean Martin – Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Lyrics

I used to play this on the large 4-legged radio/stereo my parents had when I was a child; I would play the Firestone Christmas album (which song was on) over and over again...getting up from the couch to move the needle back to the beginning. New England winters could be rough...waiting for the plow to come followed by the salt truck...stuck inside until the roads were cleared. I used to listen to this song and think about becoming an adult who was in love and had that special someone to enjoy the cold and snowy holiday season with (oh, the innocent and hopeful dreams of a female child:) |

Bing Crosby – I'll Be Home For Christmas Lyrics
| 12 years ago
|
I think of "home" to mean a happy place (a place that warms the heart) although I used to listen to this when I was half the country away during the Thanksgiving season up until I could finally fly home to my family over the college Christmas break. Bing was the master of Christmas music...he and Nat King Cole (plus others of their generation) knew how to turn the simplist of Christmas tunes into masterpieces. |
