Living Colour – Bi Lyrics | 8 years ago |
Found this in a BOMB Magazine interview with Vernon Reid. "It’s looking at the whole idea of being yourself. Sexuality is looked at as so polar: straight or gay. You’re in one camp or you’re in the other camp. There are so many shades of gray in between. When you come to someone who’s bisexual, their desire cuts both ways, they’re not uncomfortable in either situation. What I have seen happen with the bisexuals I have known is that other people reject not only their sexual desire, but their validation." |

Correct Lyrics: "Wooh, ooh ooh ooh Stole a key Took a car downtown where the lost boys meet Took a car downtown and took what they offered me To set me free I saw the lights go down at the end of the scene Saw the lights go down and standing in front of me Poh ooh ooh In my scarecrow dreams When they smash my heart into smithereens Be a bright red rose come bursting the concrete Be a cartoon heart Light a fire a fire a spark Light a fire a flame in my heart We'll run wild We'll be glowing in the dark Oooh ooh ooh We'll be glowing in the dark A-woo-a-wooooo All the boys, all the girls, all that matters in the world All the boys, all the girls, all the madness that occurs All the highs all the lows, as the room a-spinning goes We'll run riot, we'll be glowing in the dark Ooooh, ooooh, ooooh So we'll soar Luminous and wired We'll be glowing in the dark" |

Am I the only one who noticed that the line "I fell apart" and the line "The secret is out" from A Modern Myth almost sound the same in rhythm and melody. Maybe the songs have some sort of connection. Just a thought. |

I can see it being about religion. I don't know if anyone else has noticed this (You probably have.) but in the middle of the chorus after he says "Cuz I don't care." I can hear something along the lines of "Keep it to yourself" Which if this song was about religion I guess that line would make sense. |
Sonata Arctica – Sing In Silence Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Just want to point out that "The Monkey on your back" is an actual expression used for drug addiction. Anyways, very powerful sounding song. The keyboard at the beginning gives me chills everytime. The lyrics are pretty straight forward. A good girl with so much going for her gets hooked on drugs, mainly from peer pressure from her friends and all of a sudden, things start falling apart for her. |
