All her songs are straight-forward and simple. For this one, it's about having doubts (for lack of a better word) between leaving or going back with someone. After everything between her and this guy, even though they have a lot of problems that they need to work out, she keeps contemplating on if she should go back or not. Therefore, she's stuck with her personal dilemma where she can but can't live without this person and has to sing about it. From the first moment I heard this song, I instantly thought of Nick Jonas as her personal Dilemma. "I heard the rumors but you won't come clean, I guess I'm hoping it's because of me." We all know that a few months before she recored this, he had a "fling" with co-star Samantha Barks when in London. Nick never admitted dating her, and I'm pretty sure Selena did know about her since she went to visit him at one of his shows back last year. |

| It's a song about basically feeling empty and lonley. She fell for a guy but they didn't work out. So instead of having her ex there to hold her and comfort her, she's all alone, stuck in the "middle of nowhere". It's pretty simple if you follow the lyrics. I'm pretty sure Selena doesn't write her own songs, so there isn't a true metaphoric meaning to it other than what's pretty much sung. All she does is get songwriters to write what she wants. In this case, I think she pulled inspiration from her personal relationship with Nick Jonas. | |

| Nick wrote this song and it's about his relationship with Selena Gomez after they broke up the first time around. I think it's basically about him realizing that he fell for her, but just couldn't see it at the time because they fought and split. After the breakup though, all he wants to do is make it right because it was his fault. Although, once they break up for the second time around and this is finally released off off JONAS LA for their show, he sings it in a livechat and changes the lyrics to "And I'd like to say it's my fault but I know better" to basically say that the second time around, it wasn't his fault because he truly did try, while she doubted him and broke it off before she left for half a year. It's a really beautiful song, I just wished Nick recorded this himself instead of using it for their Disney show. | |
