I'm thinking maybe if you read the verses from last to first you see that it's about the numbing of a child that eventually hides within itself. It begins in the nursery. Wandering (or enduring) your sadness the child who once gazed at a parent in adoration now has a sting in their eye. (AKA the teenage years). Then older when carefree days are over your try to be your own person (I try to speak) but end up echoing - my parents? Then ends with one being totally inside oneself - dead - like a ghost. |
