if we base our understanding of this song based on the interview, then we can assume that matt viewed "5-3" in a negative manner. Sit down, dead weight, and wonder Unsure, unslept, uncovered The new light of dawn discovered by ungrateful eyes, Through 5-3 eyes and that this is how he imagined that "5-3" viewed the world around him. he makes a few references to the slaughter houses and cattle, and i think that he views 5-3 as a piece of meat him self when he says, "im so thankful im not one of them i think that he was one of the "freaks" and that 5-3 was the type of person that would beat on, not specifically him, but ppl like him. and as for the supposed mention of Deuteronomy 4-10, matt is known for biblical references, especially those that deal with death and destruction. maybe this 5-3 is just burned out, and is waiting for the end? |
