i agree with the nightmares and sexual lust thing.. i think its more about satan though. i think Morningrise is about our deepest times of sorrow and the things we would go through for help or support or maybe even attention. suicide of a great friend, death of a family member etc.. i dont want to tear the song apart really, but its clearly about a nightmare or even waking in the night, and being tempted and beckoned by the devil.. the character is very weak and so powerless and desperate, he swears his dedication and his ultimate soul sacrifice, mine is yours... f'ing brilliant! LOVE THIS TRACK. my favourite lyrics are: In the wake of dawn The mist of morning linger before it leaves Invisible eyes, red reflection It is you Smiling in the midst of the moor invisible eyes and a red reflection... smiling back through the mist of the moor. mikael is a genius, this s*** is perfect. morningrise is the bomb. the macadamia nut. peace. |
