Dunno, I think I'm thinking too much into it but all I can think when they say "six such straight A's cut em in the bathroom" is kids snorting Adderall in the bathroom. Straight A = Adderall and it's the "study drug". I might be crazy though. |

I think it's about being on something that you're using for self medication and wishing you could not care without being messed up. "If I could find a way to see this straight I'd run away to some fortune that I should have found by now" You'd have some form of fortune if you didn't have shitty problems preventing you. "So I run to the things they said could restore me restore life the way it should be" Using some form of medication to make yourself feel normal, the way life should be. Idk, I think it, like any song, can be interpreted however you want to see it. |

This song really hits home for me. A lot of songs about nerves tend to describe chaotic emotions but this song describes how I feel perfectly. "I try to keep every little thing in mind" - before I fall asleep every night I think of every moment of the day. Not sure that's what Forrest was getting at but I interpret it that way. Awesome song - I'm loving their new sound. |
