How do you take one stanza out of a song and decide what it means from that? Listen to the rest... |
Judas Priest – Beyond The Realms Of Death Lyrics | 13 years ago |
I think more than an old man... one that has had a stroke or something major that has taken his normal abilities away... and I think the chorus is his(the singer's) hope that this is what is in this old guy's (maybe his father's or grandfather's) head... I think the verse is from the singer's view and the chorus (or what he hopes) is from the "old man's" view... Keep the world with all its sin It's not fit for livin' in Yeah! I will start again It can take forever, and ever, and ever And ever, but I'll still win. I see many think this is about suicide... I don't agree. I think this is actually the "grandfather's or father's" (whichever you want to take) view. The "old man" justifying where he is... or just the singer's way of making it alright... justifying it it his own head... |
