So as jamesgc said, this is about a couple who no body wants together. He's saying, 'Hold on, everything will be better in the end. Although people don't believe in us, I do. Don't give up on me.' "She sits pale skinned in a fire light One message to change her mind One message to change her life forever One message to change her mind" Now in the section, she's having second on her and his relationship. It's getting hard. She's just on the edge. "He climbs over the top No breath No breath In his weak sick lungs, She starts to run to the edge at last it's over" Here, he's doing everything in his power to keep her by his side. She's pretty much lost hope. "Cling to each rock The wind is not on our side Not on our side" Again, he's telling her 'Please stay strong.' "She lays beside him His eyes so weak He can't even make her out But his body feels good All around him She whispers something in his ear That he takes to the grave To the grave," She's giving him some more hope, but even he can see there's no hope left.
