I saw him and the Goddamn Band perform this last night in Chicago. I had never heard any of his stuff before this, although a friend showed me a video of him and Jesse Lacey performing Ballgame/Tatou together (which is awesome, check it out). He closed with this song, and I fell so hard for their music. My god, how can anyone be this fucking talented? You really can feel the intensity and anger in the lyrics at the inequalities thrown upon us by idiotic customs without reason. I gotta say, I am more than impressed. I'm in love. |

| I don't think this song has anything to do with Kurt or Courtney. I mean its been years since his death. If Dave Grohl had never been the drummer of Nirvana and had written this song we wouldn't have the faintest idea of who it was about. I think that when we try to figure out the meanings of these songs that we need to stop trying so hard to connect the author to the lyrics. Instead we should try to figure out what the speaker in the song is saying. That way we are able to go deeper into what the song means. Just a thought. I just think its about being in love with someone who destroyed something beautiful by making really dumb choices. The lover chose to be high over being alive and happy with the singer. | |

HAHA! Dude I literally threw my headphones off for a moment I was so surprised. I had gone into a trance because the song was so beautiful, then that happened. I was so confused and scared. Vices made me jump on the train. I almost hit the guy next to me. |
