Senses Fail – The Priest And The Matador Lyrics 13 years ago
This is brilliant, and I would like to ask your opinion on "All the Best Cowboys Have Daddy Issues"

Do you think the protagonist in this album has finally come to acceptance that he's going to kill himself in this song, and that's why he's happy? Because after this, it goes straight into Negative Space, which to me sounds free, floaty, high feeling. And then the beginning of The Priest and the Matador he's on top of a building looking at clouds, and basically accepting that suicide is the answer and that he'll be better off going through with it.

I was just curious if you agreed with that.

Taking Back Sunday – Brooklyn (If You See Something, Say Something) Lyrics 13 years ago
I'm pretty sure it refers to a girlfriend or himself cheating in a relationship.

If you ever have a long distance relationship (or even go to different schools) telling people that you know that live near your partner If you see something tell me is common. That's where I think "If you see something, say something" came from. As to Brooklyn, I think he had to move to Brooklyn and that made it a long distance relationship.

Brand New – At the Bottom Lyrics 13 years ago
I think he's talking about a woman or a close friend, who feels the same as he does towards death and living.

In the chorus he's saying that if drugs helped this person escape from life and the pain it brings, he would gladly give them all they could take, hence the silver plate.

And he's saying I hope you'd do the same for me for two reasons.

One, he wants the same escape from whatever he's feeling.

Two, he want the other person to prove they care about him as much as he cares about them.

Brand New – Vices Lyrics 13 years ago
I really like this song haha..

Well it's definitely about heaven and hell in some way, like a lot of their songs.

The lyric that stands out the most to me and is a root lyric of sorts, is "We need vices at fifty thousand degrees."

I am 100% sure he's referring to hell in that lyric, with the temperature.

I don't understand the part about having a marriage license..that's what I hear too but it makes no sense.

There's a lot more I could say, but I'd rather put it in replies.
