Tunng – Bullets Lyrics 12 years ago
I think it's about a person in a relationship, who tries to be perfect for the other person(catching bullets is something impossible), try to work every problem out and become a shield for his/her love but sometimes fails. But the other person doesn't apriciate what he/she is doing and and ruins everything by reavealing their secrets and talking badly and judging him/her harshly.

David Usher – Black Black Heart Lyrics 13 years ago
It is a poetic song full of metaphors, so it can have a lot of deiffernt meanings. This is how I understand it:
I think it is about a person who understands that he is begining to transform into a corrupt person(his dark side, that he has as a person is taking control), but eventhough he is aware of it, he can't find a way of stopping it. There is a fight inside himslef. With this sond he talks to his (black, black)heart..

I will explain...

"Something ugly this way comes, from my fingers, sliding inside.
All these blessings, all these words
I'm godless underneath your covers
Search for pleasure, search for pain
In this world, now I am undying
And unfurl my flag, a nation helpless..."

He senses that he turns into something 'bad', but he can't stop it(from my fingers sliding inside)
Although he believes in god, his faith isn't deep enough to stop it(godless underneath your cover)
He only respond to his instics having lost the control of himself,(search for pleasure search for pain)
blaming his heart that she has become shallow by seeking some kind of freedom.
Despite trying to show he is alright, he is helpless

"Black, black heart, why would you offer more?
Why would you make it easier on me to satisfy?
I'm on fire...!
I'm rotting to the core
I'm eating all your kings and queens,
all your sex and your diamonds."

He blames his heart because before being corrupt, he was feeling powerless and having fun was so much harder(offer more, make it easier to satisfy)
But he is also ashamed of himslef, because he dislikes the person he has become(rotting to the core)
cause he has become indeiffernt about people that once consideered as important(eating all your kings and queens)
Now all that matters to him is consuming, finding satisfaction(sex and diamonds)

"As I begin to lose my grip
Of these realities you're sending
Taste your mind and taste your sex
Naked underneath your covers
Covers lie, and we will blend in 'morrow,
With the coming sign the tide will take,
The sea will rise, time will rape the people..."

He starts feeling the consequences of his altered behaviour(lose my grip of these realities...)
Despite the pleasures and his indifferent way of thinking, he is feeling alone and weak(taste your mind, sex. naked underneath your cover)
Although he pretends to be fine, he knows that he will collapse(covers lie, and we will bend and borrow)
His misery and loneliness will be revealed, because time punishes this kind of people(tide will take, sea will rise, time will rape)
