Failure – The Nurse Who Loved Me Lyrics 13 years ago
What a brilliant piece of music.

In my opinion, like all the tracks off Fantastic Planet, the lyrics here are a metaphor for a stage of drug addiction (or addiction in general, all addiction is chemical on a biological level). The vehicle for the addiction here is obviously heroin.

She's a all dressed in white (china white, heroin) because she's derived from morphine, and acts just like a nurse (she's a painkiler) carrying pharmaceuticals. She's falling hard for me, or more accurately I'm falling for her (because I'm becoming an addict) whilst for others she's painkiller, strictly medicine.

Clever stuff man, one of the best tunes I've heard in a long time.

Failure – Solaris Lyrics 13 years ago
There's references to meditation techniques such as slowing the breath. Freezing my time could refer to meditation or maybe the dream state where time seems to slow down.

"I'M ON AN OCEAN THAT HAS A BRAIN AND MAKES US DREAM"

This clearly refers to what Freud and Jung termed the unconscious mind, the contents and archetypes of which create our dreams. The ocean refers to water which is a universal symbol of the unconscious mind, and it has a brain is so much as there would appear to be some kind of intelligence external to our conscious intellect that drives it's functions.

Overall, like with all the tracks on this album it probably refers to being high as a kite on smack and that dreamlike state you achieve when you're tripping. I've not seen the film Solaris but I understand it's premise and this is the vehicle this track uses for the addiction metaphor. Another beautiful tune by Failure.
