i love this song. probably my favorite from the new album. I love right after the second chorus how it starts to be uplifting and encouraging. this songs puts a picture of an intervention in my mind. they are trying to help someone get better, and in that part they try to lift their spirits. but right after that in the breakdown is when they get serious and say they have to get help. |

great deduction! i thought some of the lyrics didn't exactly go along with a lover or girlfriend, so that makes more sense. thank you for sharing |

just expanding on the other comments, i think the "branches" are a metaphor for the band members and how some leaving were easier than others, but the current members were there to "fill in the gaps"
